I'm Susana Hoyos, a UC Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA. I study the chemical diversity and magmatic evolution of rocky exoplanets using experimental techniques and geochemical modeling. I explore the bulk compositions of exoplanetary material accreted into polluted white dwarfs, aiming to understand how the interior composition of non-Earth-like rocky exoplanets impacts their atmospheres and potential habitability.
Away from the lab, you'll find me turning my living room into an urban jungle or exploring the outdoors.
What can Chang'e 5 samples tell us about the late-stage magmatic activity on the moon?
What happened to the APB? Multistage thermal and chemical evolution model of the APB
What is magmatic source of the most primitive Hawaiian lavas?
